great photo of a great person! I came to find out about Carol Van Strum after we received a letter from the ODF announcing an aerial herbicide operation was scheduled and that as adjacent landowners we were receiving our ‘notice’…
So, later that Friday night, with my six-week old son in my arms, I entered “Aerial Herbicide” into google and went down the rabbit hole… We fled our home and our sons birthplace a few weeks later on the night before they began to apply an unknown, and unknowable mixture of poison from helicopters on the state forest land that surrounded our home…
Carol Van Strum is a name a lot more people should know in this country. She is one of my heroes! please read, and share her book, “A Bitter Fog” Herbicides and Human Rights
